Construction Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 125,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Chief Construction Manager for Large Infrastructure Projects (80-100%) for the realisation of technically demanding facilities in the field of sewage treatment plants and wastewater technology. You will take on the construction and overall site management for new builds, extensions, and complete renovations and accompany the projects already during the technical project planning. A central focus lies on the cross-trade technical coordination of construction technology, building services engineering, pipeline construction, pumps, and mechanical engineering systems. You will be responsible for costs, schedules, quality, and construction processes up to successful commissioning.
Responsibilities:
Assuming the chief construction management and local site management for complex sewage treatment and infrastructure projects
Managing new builds, plant expansions, conversions, and complete renovations
Responsibility for overall site management including cost, schedule, and quality control
Cross-trade coordination of construction technology, building services engineering, mechanical engineering, and plant construction
Coordination of the installation of pumps, pipeline systems, fittings, and technical installations
Participation in the technical project planning within interdisciplinary overall planning teams
Creation and monitoring of construction programmes, schedules, and construction process concepts
Preparation of cost estimates, tenders, specifications, and offer comparisons
Support of tendering, awarding, and contractor commissioning
Leadership and coordination of contractors, specialist planners, and specialists on site
Execution of construction inspections, acceptance, and defect management
Accompanying projects up to commissioning, documentation, and handover
Qualifications:
Basic technical construction training with further education as certified construction manager, technician HF or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction management of demanding large or infrastructure projects
Experience in technical coordination of building services and technical plant trades
Sound knowledge in cost control, scheduling, tendering, and construction administration
Knowledge in plant, industrial, civil, or infrastructure construction is an advantage
Good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, construction processes, and contract basics
Very good German language skills spoken and written
