Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader for the technical, personnel, and economic management of an HVAC service department in the Zurich region. You will be responsible for the reliable operation as well as the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and manage the deployment and resource planning of the service team. In addition to budget, quality, and results responsibility, you will further develop service processes and consistently drive the use of digital solutions. The role combines sound HVAC technology with service management, personnel leadership, and entrepreneurial responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Technical, personnel, and organisational leadership of the HVAC service team as well as development of employees
Overall responsibility for the HVAC service operation including quality, deadlines, costs, and economic target achievement
Planning and control of maintenance, servicing, fault, and repair deployments
Responsibility for deployment planning, resource management, and capacity management of service technicians
Monitoring of service contracts, maintenance intervals, and system histories as well as ensuring complete documentation
Technical support for complex issues related to HVAC systems, hydraulics, control technology, and energy efficiency
Responsibility for budget, cost control, productivity, and service metrics as well as preparation of corresponding evaluations
Support of sales in calculation, offer preparation, service contracts, and technical customer advice
Further development and standardisation of service and maintenance processes
Introduction and optimisation of ERP systems, mobile service tools, and digital work processes
Coordination of interfaces with project management, customer service, sales, and executive management
Planning and conducting technical training and ensuring the required expertise within the service team
Qualifications:
Training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or building technology with further education at the level of a federal certificate, higher technical college, or university of applied sciences
Several years of professional experience in HVAC service, plant operation, or technical building management
Proven leadership experience in a service, customer service, or maintenance organisation
Sound knowledge of HVAC system technology, hydraulics, control technology, and energy efficiency
Experience with service contracts, deployment planning, calculation, budgeting, and technical controlling
Good user knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft 365, and mobile service management solutions
Very good German language skills spoken and written
