Job Description
As the reporting management officer, you ensure the operational functioning of the reporting management and handle reports addressed to the Directorate General of Health concerning health professionals, healthcare institutions, and patients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities (business aspects) of the persons responsible for managing reports
- Process and analyse reports received within the unit (research information on the relevant bodies, consult legal and scientific bases, establish decisions and determinations arising therefrom, request expert opinions, organise hearings and redirect cases requiring direct handling by the relevant bodies)
- Issue opinions, recommendations, guidance for particularly complex cases and draft decisions and determinations
- Assess risks and report critical reports to the relevant managers of the Directorate General of Health and the head of department
- Participate in modifying the legal bases governing the processing of reports
- Participate in activities promoting patients' rights (information sessions, seminars, training, representation)
- Intervene in the training of newly authorised doctors practising in the canton in connection with report management

Qualifications
- Holder of a university Master’s degree and/or a HES qualification in the health field, ideally complemented by training in public health and/or health law
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the health field and/or patient quality and safety and/or health law
- Knowledge of the functioning of a public administration as well as the Swiss health system
- Ability to work and negotiate with numerous partners
- Analytical and synthesis skills, conflict management
- Adaptability and flexibility, very good organisation and time management
- Spirit of mutual aid and collaboration, good listening and communication skills
- Proficiency in IT tools
- Excellent oral and written expression in French, good knowledge of German and English (oral and written)
