About the job
Do you want a solid vocational education with a strong practical focus in a company with many years of training experience? Then you are in the right place at the City of Winterthur! In the two-year basic vocational training as a Road Construction Practitioner EBA, you will work on the maintenance of roads, footpaths and cycle paths, squares, field paths and traffic islands. After completing the apprenticeship and achieving good school results, it is possible to obtain the EFZ in a shortened training period at a road construction company.

Road Construction Practitioner EBA (Apprenticeship 2027)
Your Tasks
- Carrying out simple staking out, excavation and embankment work
- Installing edge finishes and laying asphalt surfaces
- Operating various machines, equipment and tools, which you also maintain and care for
- Supporting the companies in cleaning public areas and buildings, as well as snow clearance on public grounds
Your Profile
- Completed compulsory schooling (Sec. C with very good grades or Sec. B) mandatory
- Good German skills mandatory (minimum B2 required)
- Manual dexterity
- Good physical strength and robust health
- Enjoyment of working outdoors
