Architect Execution Planning (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced specialist for the execution planning of demanding new build, conversion and renovation projects in the Zurich area. You will independently handle working and detailed plans and accompany diverse building projects from design to construction implementation. A particular focus is on building within existing structures and careful handling of listed building fabric, where architectural quality, constructive precision and technical feasibility are brought together. The position combines solid Archicad planning, demanding detail development and close collaboration with specialist planners and executing companies in a manageable, well-coordinated architectural team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of execution and working planning for demanding new build, conversion and renovation projects of various sizes and uses

• Creation and further development of execution, working and detailed plans with Archicad, taking into account architectural, technical and constructive requirements

• Development of precise constructive detail solutions for building envelopes, façades, roofs, interior fittings and complex component connections

• Planning handling of conversions and renovations of listed buildings, considering existing constructions and protected building fabric

• Analysis of existing building structures and constructional conditions to develop technically and aesthetically convincing execution solutions

• Coordination and integration of specialist planner documents from structural engineering, building services and other special disciplines

• Coordination of constructive and technical interfaces with specialist planners, contractors and other project participants

• Review and quality assurance of planning documents regarding dimensional accuracy, completeness, feasibility and compliance with project specifications

• Participation in material selection and sampling as well as development of solutions considering design and economic requirements

• Support in technical clarifications with authorities and monument preservation, as well as consideration of the corresponding requirements in execution planning

• Accompaniment of construction execution through planning support including handling contractor inquiries, detail clarifications and necessary plan adjustments

• Close collaboration with project management and executive management as well as independent coordination of defined planning tasks and ensuring agreed planning deadlines

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or equivalent recognised higher education

• Several years of practical experience in execution and detail planning of building projects in the Swiss environment

• Solid user knowledge in Archicad, especially in the creation and coordination of complex working and detailed plans

• Very good knowledge of building construction, materialisation and technical detail solutions as well as experience in implementing demanding architectural designs

• Experience with conversion and renovation projects as well as building within existing structures; knowledge of handling listed building fabric is an advantage

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards, building regulations and planning processes as well as experience in collaboration with specialist planners and executing companies

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical plan processing, project documentation and coordination with external project participants
