Versatile Pool Attendants

THE SPORTS SERVICE (SPO) is notably responsible for the management and maintenance of sports centres, stadiums, municipal swimming pools and ice rinks. It provides numerous facilities and installations for the people of Geneva and encourages the practice of "Sport for all" by organising schools for young people and activities for adults and seniors. It also participates in the organisation of events and supports sport, particularly youth movements, through the granting of subsidies.

To complete its team, the service is looking for several

(fixed-term contract from 3 May 2027 for a duration of 4 or 5 months depending on the pools at the Vernets or Varembé sports centres)

Your mission and responsibilities:

You supervise the pools and changing rooms and ensure the safety of users. You provide the public with a quality welcome. You carry out cleaning and maintenance work as well as other activities.

Your profile:

You hold a BLS-AED certificate, Pool Plus or Pro Pool certificate (valid lifeguard certificates). You have passed the tests organised by the Swiss Lifesaving Society and those carried out as part of the recruitment process. Experience as a pool attendant would be an asset. You accept irregular hours including evening shifts, weekends and public holidays. Comfortable with the public and attentive to the needs and expectations of users, you have a sense of responsibility and are able to work independently. Availability and team spirit characterise you.

You reside in the Canton of Geneva or in the authorised residential area.
