About the job
Across all plots, the City of Lausanne owns approximately 2,400 hectares within its territory. This significant real estate and land portfolio is the result of a consistent and sustainable policy of property acquisition and a generally conservative approach regarding the sale of land. The Real Estate Commission manages all real estate transactions for the City. This unit also plays a central role in enhancing the value of the property portfolio as well as analysing items subject to the cantonal law on the preservation and promotion of the rental housing stock.
Main Mission(s)
Implement the real estate policy of the City of Lausanne
Prepare files for the Real Estate Commission
Analyse and evaluate real estate properties
Handle all real estate operations involving the City (purchases, sales, LPPPL, DDP, easements, etc.)
Organise the administrative aspects related to real estate transactions
Draft expert reports, minutes, and decision proposals
Conduct strategic monitoring of the real estate market
Profile
University Master’s degree (law, architecture, business), federal certificate or diploma in real estate economics or equivalent training
5 years of professional experience related to the real estate sector
Knowledge of the local real estate market and various valuation methods
Negotiation skills, resilience under pressure, assertiveness
Rigor, analytical ability, and ease of writing
Sensitivity to sustainable development criteria and social housing policy
Ethical awareness and understanding of public service issues
Proficiency in MS Office tools
