Project Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF110,000 - 115,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager Building Construction to manage demanding public construction projects in the Lucerne region. You will take on the client representation and overall project management across all relevant project phases and be responsible for adhering to cost, schedule, and quality objectives. In doing so, you will lead and coordinate architects, specialist planners, experts, and contractors and ensure transparent project controlling. The position offers the opportunity to shape significant municipal building and real estate projects from planning through to realisation in the long term.
Responsibilities:
Assuming client representation and project management for demanding municipal building projects across all relevant SIA phases
Planning, managing, and monitoring project scope, quality, costs, and schedules from project development to handover
Leading and coordinating architects, specialist planners, experts, and contractors
Conducting structured project controlling including cost forecasts, schedule monitoring, and risk management
Preparing project reports, decision-making documents, and status reports for internal committees and other stakeholders
Managing planning, tendering, awarding, and realisation processes considering the requirements of public clients
Supporting tendering and procurement procedures as well as the professional evaluation of offers and awarding documents
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, building regulations, and public law frameworks
Coordinating interfaces between users, authorities, planning, and execution and acting as the central contact person for project participants
Organising project, planning, and construction meetings and following up on decisions, pending issues, and measures
Responsibility for structured project administration, document management, and project documentation
Supporting acceptances, commissioning, and project closures and ensuring complete handover documentation
Qualifications:
University degree in construction at FH or ETH level, for example in architecture, civil engineering, or a comparable discipline
Several years of professional experience in managing complex building construction projects, ideally on the client side or in overall project management
Sound knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss planning and construction practices
Experience in cost, schedule, quality, and project controlling across multiple project phases
Knowledge of public procurement and tendering procedures is an advantage
Experience in managing and leading external planning and execution teams
Very good German language skills spoken and written
