Role:

A cloud platform is only as good as its architecture. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you design cloud landscapes based on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365) and migrate complex environments from the on-premises world to the cloud. You consistently focus on automation, security, and clean governance. Your architectural decisions shape standards that entire teams rely on.

Responsibilities:

• You design scalable landing zones including subscription, management, and governance structures. You specifically modernise existing cloud environments with regard to security and costs.

• Using Bicep and PowerShell, you build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules (IaC). You also automate deployments and workplace processes via APIs.

• You design identity and access concepts with Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.

• Furthermore, you develop endpoint management and endpoint security with Intune.

• You plan cloud networks with VNets, private endpoints, DNS, VPN, and hybrid connections yourself. Together with the network team, you integrate them into the Fortinet firewall landscape.

• Additionally, you define technical standards, solve complex problems across multiple layers, and test new cloud and AI technologies in proofs of concept.

Qualifications:

• You bring many years of experience in engineering and architecture of Azure and M365 environments, ideally also from larger migration projects.

• You are familiar with landing zones and modular deployment structures from practice. You are confident in PowerShell.

• You have profound knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Enterprise Applications, and App Registrations.

• In addition, you have solid practical experience in device compliance, endpoint security, and modern client management.

• You are proficient in cloud networking, private DNS, routing, and firewall concepts. Experience with Fortinet is a plus.

• Furthermore, you implement zero-trust concepts technically and can ideally demonstrate Microsoft certifications in architecture, security, or identity fields.
