Role:
A platform is only as strong as the processes that support it. As a Senior Platform Engineer (CI/CD & Observability), you shape exactly this foundation based on OpenShift and Kubernetes. You have a significant say in where architecture and toolchain develop. You rely on GitOps and consistent automation. Those seeking true ownership will find plenty of scope for design here.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the construction, stable operation, and strategic expansion of the container platform.
You design scalable pipelines for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and establish seamless build, test, and release processes.
In complex incidents, you take on technical leadership and ensure thorough root cause analysis.
Furthermore, you define security, compliance, and governance policies and embed them technically in the platform.
You evaluate new tools and platform services and introduce them if suitable.
Additionally, you advise development, architecture, and IT security, influence key technology decisions, and specifically promote junior engineers.
Qualifications:
Many years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering form your foundation, ideally at least 5 years.
You know Kubernetes and modern container platforms in detail.
You confidently automate deployments with Git, ArgoCD, Tekton, TeamCity, or similar tools.
Additionally, you have solid knowledge of observability stacks such as ELK or Sentry as well as container registries, preferably Harbor.
You abstract complex requirements and translate them into pragmatic, durable platform solutions.
You also impress with technical leadership experience, communicate knowledge clearly, and make decisions with clarity.
