Role:

As a Cloud & On-Premise Infrastructure Engineer, you take responsibility for a hybrid infrastructure consisting of on-premise systems and cloud services. Your standard: every resource is created reproducibly via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and not by clicking. Therefore, you treat servers, networks, and storage like software. You deliver changes via CI/CD pipelines. Technical depth is as important here as the view of the overall system.

Responsibilities:

• With Terraform, you build reusable modules and create standardised deployments for server, network, storage, and cloud resources.

• You automate system configurations and operational processes with Bash, Python, and PowerShell as well as suitable configuration management tools.

• Additionally, you develop pipelines through which infrastructure changes and updates are automatically deployed to production.

• You manage Windows and Linux servers, container and virtualisation platforms, and implement security and hardening requirements directly in code.

• Furthermore, you drive monitoring, logging, and alerting forward and investigate issues across all layers.

• You are also responsible for migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle measures, making the environment more stable and scalable.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of solid experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.

• You use Terraform confidently and manage configurations with Ansible or a comparable tool.

• You are proficient with Git and branching strategies and have already built deployment pipelines in CI/CD systems.

• You are confident with Linux or Windows servers, as well as virtualisation platforms or public cloud environments.

• Furthermore, you know Docker well, ideally also Kubernetes, and understand network basics such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, and firewalling.

• Additionally, you integrate monitoring tools competently into operational processes and consider backup, recovery, high availability, and security from the outset.
