Role:
Do you enjoy not only keeping demanding platforms running but continuously improving them? Then you can apply your experience in Linux, networking, and infrastructure automation here. You will further develop the technical foundation for stable IT services, simplify recurring processes, and ensure that sources of errors are detected and resolved early.
You will have scope for technical decisions and can actively help shape the development of a modern virtualisation environment.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the technical development of network and platform infrastructures and ensure reliable, scalable operation.
You automate configurations, maintenance tasks, and infrastructure processes using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform.
You contribute to the further development of a CloudStack-based virtualisation platform and ensure its reliable operation as well as continuous optimisation.
You investigate system errors, network problems, and performance deviations, identify their causes, and develop effective solutions.
You improve the monitoring and orchestration of the system landscape, evaluate new technologies, and support their integration into existing environments.
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification and bring several years of practical experience in operating and developing IT infrastructures.
Linux administration, network technology, and security concepts are among your strengths. Knowledge of environments such as Debian, Ubuntu, Juniper, or Fortinet is especially welcome.
You master infrastructure automation and are familiar with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Jenkins, or Zabbix from practical experience.
You have already worked with virtualisation solutions such as VMware, Proxmox, or Apache CloudStack and want to deepen your knowledge of container technologies further.
You approach complex technical challenges analytically, take responsibility, and communicate clearly. You enjoy working with other professionals and have good German and English skills.
