Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a Project Manager Building Construction / Client Representation for the independent management of demanding new build and refurbishment projects. You represent the interests of the client and ensure compliance with cost, schedule, and quality objectives through professional project management and project controlling. You coordinate internal and external project participants and increasingly take on technical responsibility within the project teams. The position offers a versatile environment at the interface of construction, real estate, economic efficiency, and sustainable project development.
Responsibilities:
Independent project leadership and client representation in demanding building construction projects
Management and control of costs, schedules, quality, and project objectives
Support of complex new build, refurbishment, and renovation projects through the relevant project phases
Coordination and management of architects, specialist planners, contractors, and other project participants
Creation and maintenance of project schedules, cost overviews, forecasts, and status reports
Implementation of structured project controlling including target-actual comparisons and variance analyses
Support in tendering, awarding, and contract processes
Preparation of decision-making bases and recommendations for action for the client
Execution of risk, change, and interface management
Organisation and leadership of project, planning, and control meetings
Technical coordination and further development of project staff within the managed mandates
Participation in the optimisation and digitalisation of project management and controlling processes
Qualifications:
Completed studies as civil engineer FH/ETH, architect FH/ETH, industrial engineer, or comparable education in the construction or real estate sector
At least 2-3 years of professional experience in project management of construction projects, ideally in Switzerland
Good knowledge of cost, schedule, quality, and project controlling
Experience in coordinating complex planning and project teams
Knowledge of Swiss construction and planning processes as well as relevant SIA standards is an advantage
Fluent German skills and good English skills are advantageous
Confident handling of MS Office and industry-standard project management and scheduling software
