Head of Competence Centre Cloud Engineering 80 - 100% (a)

In this central leadership role, you take responsibility for the Competence Centre Cloud Engineering. You lead your team both professionally and disciplinarily, strategically develop competencies and services, and contribute significantly to the sustainable positioning of Axians Somnitec AG in the market. Together with your team, you ensure the reliable operation, continuous development, and innovation of our customer platforms.

• Disciplinary and professional leadership of the Cloud Engineering team (7 employees)
• Coaching, performance assessment, employee development, and personnel reporting
• Responsibility for recruitment and strategic personnel, capacity, and resource planning
• Promotion of a high-performance engineering culture with strong service and customer orientation
• Further development of the service and performance portfolio together with the Business Line
• Ensuring sustainable knowledge and competence management within the team
• Definition, establishment, and enforcement of professional and methodological standards as well as best practices
• Promotion of innovation and identification of new technologies and market trends
• Ensuring compliance with normative, regulatory, and strategic requirements of Axians Somnitec AG

• Participation in budget planning, investment decisions, and strategic development of the area of responsibility
• Promotion of cross-departmental collaboration and sustainable organisation-wide knowledge transfer
• Escalation management for complex technical or organisational challenges
• Responsibility for the continuous development of processes, guidelines, and governance models within the department
• Active shaping of technical solution approaches and acting as a sparring partner in demanding projects

• Several years of leadership and practical experience in engineering or infrastructure environments
• Industry experience in IT, ideally in the managed services sector
• Completed higher vocational training (HF/FH) in computer science or comparable qualification
• Solid understanding of modern cloud, platform, and infrastructure services
• Experience in leading and developing technical teams and departments
• Experience in knowledge, competence, and talent management is an advantage
• Proven experience in leading technical specialists
• Strong affinity for standardisation, quality management, and automation
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
