Join an NGO committed to a crucial fight: defending press freedom. In anticipation of the current holder’s retirement, the Swiss section of Reporters Without Borders is seeking its future Secretary General, capable, as the operational leader heading a small team of three employees and in connection with the organisation’s global headquarters in Paris, to:

• be a strong voice in Switzerland,

• represent the association to the media and authorities,

• draft position statements,

• lead campaigns and advocacy actions with political bodies,

• work towards the development of RSF Switzerland by finding new resources.

Profile sought

• proven experience in media or human rights,

• in-depth knowledge of the Swiss media landscape and the issues of press freedom in Switzerland or media law,

• native French or German with excellent command of the other language, very good English,

• excellent writing skills,

• strategic sense and management skills for the daily running of an organisation (finance, accounting, communication).

Permanent contract, starting no later than 1 April 2027, main workplace Geneva.
