Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the technical and personnel management of a team in the field of heating and cooling. You combine leadership and development of employees with responsibility for demanding HVAC projects and ensure their timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant implementation. As a technical contact person, you support the team with complex issues concerning heating, cooling, and energy systems and promote contemporary technical solutions. The position combines leadership responsibility with project management, resource planning, and sound building technology expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Technical and personnel management of the heating / cooling department as well as responsibility for operational team organisation

• Planning, organisation, and coordination of demanding heating and cooling projects

• Overall responsibility for deadlines, costs, quality, and resources within the projects managed

• Technical support of the team with complex questions regarding heating, cooling, and energy systems

• Responsibility for personnel and capacity planning as well as appropriate allocation of project resources

• Leadership, professional development, and coaching of employees as well as conducting structured development discussions

• Participation in recruitment and onboarding of new technical and project staff

• Development and evaluation of technical concepts, project planning bases, and solution variants

• Ensuring professional planning and execution according to relevant SIA standards and Swiss building technology standards

• Conducting project, leadership, and coordination meetings as well as liaising with internal and external project participants

• Monitoring of project controlling, profitability, and quality assurance within the area of responsibility

• Observing technical developments and participating in the introduction of energy-efficient and innovative HVAC solutions

Qualifications:

• Advanced technical education as FH Engineer in Building Technology / HVAC or HF Technician in Building Technology specialising in Heating

• Several years of professional experience in heating and cooling technology as well as in managing demanding building technology projects

• Experience in technical and/or personnel leadership of employees is an advantage

• Sound knowledge in project management, resource planning, and project controlling

• In-depth expertise in heating, cooling, and energy systems

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building technology standards

• Very good German language skills for personnel management, project coordination, and technical documentation
