IT Security Specialist Threat Detection & Architecture (m/f/d)
Our partner is an owner-managed IT service company and has been successful for over 25 years with the entire spectrum of IT solutions. Tailored to public administrations, energy suppliers and SMEs in the service sector, our partner employs around 100 staff and impresses with excellent industry and technology know-how.
Role:
Our client invests in modern security solutions to detect cyber risks early and sustainably protect its IT landscape. In this position, you work at the interface between security operations, technical analysis and security architecture. You investigate vulnerabilities, identify suspicious activities and support the further development of effective protective measures. At the same time, you bring your experience in audits, policies and technical security decisions and contribute to continuously improving security processes and standards.
Responsibilities:
Assessment of vulnerabilities and coordination of necessary security updates with the responsible departments
Conducting threat hunting and penetration tests to verify IT security
Further development of security operations with a focus on threat detection, incident handling and response
Design and implementation of security architectures for on-premises and cloud environments
Development and updating of security policies, standards and technical process descriptions
Participation in audits, security analyses and the evaluation of technical architecture decisions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, IT security or an equivalent qualification
Several years of practical experience in the field of cyber security
Sound knowledge of networks, Windows and Linux systems as well as cloud security
Experience with SIEM, EDR and XDR technologies as well as in responding to security incidents
Additional security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or CEH are welcome
Strong analytical thinking, initiative and a structured way of working
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Good knowledge of German
