Planning/Construction Control Specialist (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF90,000 - 95,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a specialist for building applications, building permit procedures and construction controls in the municipal environment. You will review construction projects for their permit eligibility, prepare building permits and orders, and accompany projects from the construction framework to the final acceptance. Additionally, you will assist with tasks in spatial and local planning and advise builders and planning professionals on construction law issues. The position combines solid construction knowledge with Zurich planning and building law and offers a versatile insight into the structural development of a municipality.
Responsibilities:
Independent review and processing of building applications regarding completeness, permit eligibility, and compliance with legal requirements
Execution and coordination of building permit procedures as well as obtaining and consolidating internal and external expert opinions
Preparation of building permits, orders and construction law decisions including the necessary documentation
Review of construction projects according to the Planning and Building Act of the Canton of Zurich (PBG) as well as municipal building and zoning regulations
Conducting construction controls from the construction framework through shell and intermediate inspections to the final acceptance
Monitoring permit-compliant execution and processing of project changes and conditions during the construction phase
Professional advice to builders, architects and planning offices on building applications, permit procedures and construction law requirements
Participation in projects of spatial planning, local development as well as usage and zoning planning
Coordination with cantonal specialist offices, authorities and internal departments for permit-required construction projects
Maintenance and updating of the building application and project documentation as well as ensuring complete digital file management
Qualifications:
Completed basic technical training as a draftsperson EFZ specialising in architecture or civil engineering; alternatively commercial or administrative training with solid experience in construction
Professional experience in building administration, building permit procedures or construction control, ideally with a Swiss municipality or authority
Good knowledge of the Zurich Planning and Building Act (PBG) as well as relevant building regulations and permit procedures
Experience in reviewing building plans, building applications and construction law documents
Knowledge of spatial planning, land use planning and municipal building and zoning regulations is an advantage
Very good German language skills for drafting permits, orders and official correspondence
