Role:

As a Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer, you design the security architecture of demanding customer environments and shape the technical quality of managed security services. Modern threats know no system boundaries. Therefore, you consider firewalls, endpoints, identities, and cloud as an interconnected defence system. In critical incidents, you keep an overview and take on the technical leadership. Your expertise flows directly into standards that noticeably better protect customers.

Responsibilities:

• You design multi-layered security architectures and optimise enterprise, cloud, and web application firewalls

• In critical security incidents, you lead analysis, containment, and remediation across all levels

• You build Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions and develop detection use cases as well as correlation rules

• Furthermore, you are responsible for the further development of XDR, EDR, and NDR and automate security operations via APIs

• You support complex pre-sales situations, conduct architecture reviews, and develop suitable solution architectures

• Additionally, you define security baselines, vulnerability management processes, and zero-trust concepts for identity and access

Qualifications:

• You bring several years of solid practical experience in security architecture, security operations, or cyber security engineering

• You understand network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and TLS in detail and recognise their vulnerabilities

• Detection engineering, log management, and security monitoring are part of your daily routine

• Moreover, you derive effective measures from common attack techniques and ideally orient yourself on MITRE ATT&CK

• You analyse dependencies between applications, identity, cloud, and security controls in a structured manner and have solid knowledge in vulnerability scanning, hardening, MFA, as well as Windows and Linux security

• Additionally, you script confidently in Python and Bash, enjoy working independently in exchange with customers, and convince with business fluent German as well as clearly understandable technical English
