Do you want to operate and further develop demanding IT infrastructures while simultaneously using modern cloud technologies? In this versatile role, you take on a central role for the reliable operation of server, network, cloud, and security environments and work on technical solutions throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle.
Besides day-to-day business, you will face challenging 3rd-level issues, architectural tasks, and continuous improvement of standards and operational processes. You can bring in your experience in on-premises and cloud environments and actively contribute to the further development of the IT landscape.
Responsibilities:
Administration and optimisation of physical and virtual servers as well as central Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
Support of database infrastructures and ensuring stable operation including performance optimisation and maintenance
Taking over 3rd-level support for complex infrastructure issues in on-premises and cloud environments as well as further development of monitoring and alerting
Execution of patch and security management as well as timely implementation of critical security updates
Design and further development of secure network architectures with firewalls, load balancers, VPCs, and routing as well as management of certificates and PKI
Definition of technical standards, maintenance of documentation and operational concepts, and participation in 24/7 on-call service and occasional on-site deployments
Qualifications:
Completed higher education in computer science, engineering, or comparable qualification at EFZ, HF, or FH level
At least 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, and/or IT security
Solid knowledge of server, network, Microsoft, and cloud technologies
Experience with virtualisation, monitoring, patch management, and security-relevant infrastructure topics
Solution-oriented, independent, and practical working style with strong team orientation
Very good German skills and fluent English skills; additional certifications or experience in software development are an advantage
