Tasks
Scientific collaboration in the staff of the division: You work as a scientific associate in the staff of the Youth, Family and Sport division and support the staff management and division management in day-to-day business and policy preparation.
Drafting of foundations and reports: You develop foundations, write statements and demanding reports or correspondence. You process and optimise text drafts to publication maturity.
Business and quality control: You take on tasks of business and quality control and accompany or lead cross-departmental and cross-divisional matters and projects. You take on tasks in the areas of risk and records management.
Communication: Further focuses are internal communication and maintenance of the website.
Profile
Experience: You have several years of professional experience as well as good knowledge of politics and the cantonal administration. You have experience in project management.
Personality: You bring excellent editorial and communication skills. You think analytically and in a networked way, work in a structured and independent manner. You have a high service orientation and are able to quickly familiarise yourself with new tasks.
Education: You have a university degree, preferably in the humanities or social sciences.

The Youth, Family and Sport division of the Department of Education Basel-Stadt covers a wide range of topics around childcare, child and youth welfare, early support and sport. It informs and supports children, young people and those involved in education and advocates for high-quality public and private services. The promotion of mass sport and exercise, in clubs and privately, is also one of the central tasks. These activities directly benefit many people in Basel: from children to parents to sports enthusiasts.
