Founded in 2014, the Neuchâtel Ophthalmology Centre (CNO) is a leading medical-surgical centre entirely dedicated to vision.
Its operating theatre with two rooms and its integrated sterilisation centre operate under a quality system certified ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. This guarantees controlled standards at every stage of the patient journey.
Our team, composed of FMH specialist ophthalmologists and experienced ophthalmic surgeons, offers the latest medical and surgical advances tailored to each pathology.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technical facilities, the CNO provides care across several sites.
Following the departure of the incumbent and to complete its Neuchâtel team, the CNO is seeking, for immediate or agreed start, its future
Operating Theatre Manager 80-100% (m/f)
The main responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Lead and supervise the team while being operational, leveraging technical experience and specialised operating theatre skills
- Manage staff scheduling, including absence and replacement management
- Prevent and manage conflicts, report and handle incidents
- Enhance the attractiveness of the service by stimulating and motivating the team through a positive working environment, while maintaining, adapting and developing professional skills to ensure quality care and patient safety
- Be responsible for continuous training and skills development of staff
- Manage surgical scheduling
- Organise the service to provide quality care and welcome internal and external surgeons and their patients
- Collaborate with our anaesthesia partners
- Manage medical-surgical equipment, ensure supply and monitor stock management of consumables and implants
- Plan maintenance of high-tech equipment, ensure its completion and traceability
- Respect and enforce hygiene and safety rules
- Develop, apply and control procedures for pre-treatment, disinfection, and sterilisation of reusable medical devices
- Develop and update procedures covering operating theatre activities and quality to maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certification
- Be responsible for the accuracy of patient billing data and its transmission to the billing department
Your profile
- You hold a HES Nursing Diploma (or an equivalent qualification as well as Red Cross Recognition in the case of a foreign diploma)
- You hold a specialisation in the operating theatre field
- You have completed sterilisation training - Level I and Level II
- You have experience in management or team leadership
- This position is aimed at a dynamic, autonomous individual with interpersonal skills, a sense of responsibility, organisational abilities and team leadership skills
