Job Description
As a Senior Fire Safety Engineer / AEAI Project Manager, you will play a key role in designing and delivering innovative and tailored fire protection solutions for complex construction projects.
Working closely with architects, clients, general/total contractors, and our internal specialists, you will be a trusted contact to support projects from the design phase through to completion.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing fire protection concepts and strategies for complex projects in accordance with AEAI/VKF requirements.
- Advising clients, architects, and project teams to propose technically relevant and economically optimised solutions.
- Independently managing fire safety projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery.
- Monitoring the implementation of fire protection measures on construction sites.
- Preparing, reviewing, and signing documents related to AEAI compliance.
- Developing fire interlock matrices and coordinating comprehensive testing of fire safety installations.
- Collaborating with various building specialists within WSP’s multidisciplinary teams.
- Contributing to the development of our fire safety expertise and services in Switzerland.
Profile Sought
You are an experienced fire safety professional, passionate about technical challenges and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
You have:
- A federal AEAI specialist certificate in fire protection or an equivalent qualification recognised by SEFRI.
- A Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a similar discipline.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in fire protection, fire safety, or quality assurance in this field.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, regulations, and building-related systems.
- Experience in project management as well as in liaising with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive, collaborative personality with excellent communication skills.
- French as your mother tongue; good knowledge of German is an asset.
