Group Leader Financial Accounting (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
- Professional, operational and personnel management of the main and subsidiary ledgers including asset accounting
- Coordination/professional management of mandate accounting for real estate
- Responsible for proper accounting in accordance with legal requirements
- Preparation and coordination of the annual financial statements including consolidation and financial reporting
- Independent preparation and coordination of audits within the scope of duties
- Responsible for cash management
- Assuming responsibility for the internal control system (ICS) processes within the scope of duties and regular monitoring
- Assuming responsibility for strategic further development within the scope of duties
- Control and support in the area of VAT
- Contact person for financial accounting
- Module responsibility for Finance SAP R/3 and collaboration in SAP CC
- Representing Empa in specialist committees and projects in the area
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance and/or further training in a relevant field (e.g. Federal Certificate in Finance and Accounting)
- Several years of professional and leadership experience
- Very good SAP knowledge and confident with MS Office programmes
- Business fluent in English
