For an established Swiss technology and consulting company, we are looking for an experienced individual as Lead Java Engineer / Solution Architect who designs complex enterprise solutions, leads nearshore teams and actively drives innovative technologies.
In this role, you take technical responsibility from architecture to productive operation and design solutions for customers from industries such as financial services, healthcare and industry.

Your Responsibilities
- Technical overall responsibility for Java-based enterprise solutions
- Architecture design and technology decisions for complex system landscapes
- Leadership, management and quality assurance of nearshore engineering teams
- Building and further developing engineering competencies through coaching and recruiting
- Responsibility for the entire delivery cycle: from solution definition to stable operation
- Strategic consulting of customers in architecture, technology and implementation matters
- Evaluation of new technologies and platforms (e.g. low-code, AI-supported development)
- Ensuring scalability, security and sustainable system architecture
Our Requirements
- Completed studies in computer science, software engineering or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of experience in Java enterprise development
- Profound knowledge in: Java EE / Jakarta EE, JPA, EJB, RESTful web services
- Experience in designing modern software architectures (microservices, SOA, event-driven)
- Knowledge of common architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, arc42)
- Experience with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies
- Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular, React or Vue.js
- Ideally experience with low-code platforms like Mendix
- Initial experience in leading or coordinating nearshore teams
- Experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban)
