If infrastructure should be more than just running systems: develop the platform behind the operation.
We are looking for an infrastructure specialist with a pronounced engineering mindset. The focus is on highly available virtualisation platforms, high-performance storage architectures, and modern backup concepts. Those who enjoy delving deeply into technical contexts and sustainably improving systems will find a challenging environment here.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for central infrastructure platforms
Design and further development of a modern VMware environment
Building and optimisation of storage solutions based on NetApp
Ensuring reliable data backup and rapid recoverability
Further development of the Veeam environment and optimisation of existing backup strategies
Planning and execution of restore, recovery, and disaster recovery scenarios
Capacity planning for compute, storage, and backup resources
Performance engineering and systematic root cause analysis
Support for technology upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure renewals
Development of automated processes for administration and provisioning
Improvement of monitoring, alerting, and proactive infrastructure management
Participation in security and resilience initiatives
Development of technical standards and best practices for infrastructure operations
Qualifications:
Solid professional experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer, or comparable role
Very good knowledge of VMware and virtualisation
Experience with NetApp or comparable enterprise storage platforms
Sound expertise in backup, restore, and recovery
Ideally Veeam certifications or comparable practical experience
Good understanding of storage and network architectures
Experience with automation and scripting
Ability to view technical dependencies holistically
Strong sense of responsibility for critical IT systems
Enjoyment of technical projects and continuous modernisation of infrastructure
