Social Worker in a Grammar School

The Directorate General for Post-Compulsory Education (DGEP) is responsible for education that takes place between the end of compulsory schooling and higher education. It offers courses within 15 grammar schools and 13 vocational schools and employs more than 3,400 staff members. To strengthen the social work system of the Resources and Prevention Unit, we are looking for a social worker for the Beaulieu Grammar School in Lausanne.

• Provide social support to pupils/students who encounter difficulties and/or questions during their training.
• Guide pupils/students to the external network outside the grammar school and collaborate with the various services active within the institutions.
• Enhance the autonomy of beneficiaries and support, if necessary, the skills of legal representatives.
• Ensure the development of intervention quality and contribute to the smooth functioning of the system.

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised social school (such as a University of Applied Sciences, social work stream), university degree, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years’ experience required in supporting adolescents or young adults in difficulty.
• Good knowledge of the Vaud social network and the post-compulsory education system. Training and experience in coaching young adults is desirable.
• Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a network and conduct interviews. Clarity in communication, synthesis skills, priority management and systemic vision.
• Team spirit, good stress resistance.
• Flexibility required: Annualised working hours.
