As an IT Systems Engineer - Infrastructure, you design and operate powerful IT infrastructures and ensure that datacentre, virtualisation, and hybrid cloud environments function reliably. You work on technical projects, optimise existing systems, and contribute your ideas to the further development of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You manage and optimise hybrid IT environments with HPE, HPE VME, VMware, and Veeam.
You are responsible for patch, update, and lifecycle processes and support the secure operation of the systems.
You implement infrastructure projects from concept through migrations to the implementation of on-premises and datacentre solutions.
You analyse and resolve complex system faults and develop sustainable solutions.
You assist with operational handovers, maintain system documentation, and support the operations team with technical queries.
Qualifications:
Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally with HF/FH further education or equivalent further training.
At least 3 years of professional experience in datacentre, virtualisation, or hybrid cloud.
Solid knowledge of HPE, VMware, and Veeam as well as experience with migration, integration, and implementation.
Ideally, know-how in patch management, automation, and Azure Update Management.
You work independently, structured, and solution-oriented, enjoy communicating in a team, and are interested in new technologies.
Very good German skills and good English skills complete your profile.
