We are looking for a Payroll Manager (80-100%) to take charge of the complete management of payroll and social insurance for all our entities, while contributing to the development of our Compensation & Benefits policy.
Your mission
You are responsible for the reliability, compliance and punctuality of payroll, from data integration to controls and reporting intended for Management and HR. In this capacity, you:
Manage payroll from A to Z
- Ensure the monthly processing of fixed and variable salaries, bonuses, and other remuneration elements;
- Check and integrate variable elements related to absences and social insurance;
- Guarantee the correct application of withholding tax;
- Perform payroll checks and ensure the justification of elements in collaboration with accounting;
- Manage annual statements, salary certificates, exit statements and various attestations;
- Monitor payroll expenses and ensure declarations to social insurance;
- Prepare controls and audits;
- Manage work permit requests and follow-up;
- Ensure the configuration and updating of payroll software;
- Ensure proper integration of payroll data into the HRIS;
- Check and validate expense claims.
Take charge of social insurance
You are the main contact for employees, compensation funds and insurers.
- Manage incapacity cases related to illness, accidents and maternity, from opening to closure;
- Ensure declarations and follow-up of daily allowances, APG and family allowances;
- Monitor long-term absences in collaboration with managers and insurers;
- Manage affiliations and deregistrations for occupational pension (LPP), old-age and survivors’ insurance (AVS), accident insurance (LAA) and APG;
- Prepare annual declarations to various social insurances;
- Check invoices and reimbursements from social insurances and ensure their consistency with benefits paid;
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of monitoring processes.
Guarantee data quality and reporting
- Ensure systematic double quality control before payroll validation;
- Ensure data consistency between time management, payroll, HRIS and social insurance;
- Prepare monthly payroll expense reporting for Management and HR;
- Participate in provision management with the accounting team;
- Ensure close collaboration with HR, accounting and tax teams.
Contribute to the development of our Compensation & Benefits policy
Beyond operational payroll management, you actively participate in structuring and evolving our remuneration policy.
- Conduct external salary benchmarks and monitor market practices;
- Participate in updating our salary positioning grid;
- Analyse internal equity and identify any gaps;
- Contribute to structuring remuneration packages (fixed, variable and benefits);
- Analyse the impact of changes in scales and social contributions;
- Participate in preparing annual salary campaigns;
- Produce Compensation & Benefits analyses and reports for Management;
- Contribute to process optimisation, tool digitalisation and payroll function reliability.
Be proactive
You actively monitor legal and regulatory developments in payroll, taxation and social insurance. You identify impacts for the group and contribute to adapting our procedures and practices.
You also participate in continuous improvement of payroll processes, notably through risk mapping, formalising control procedures and evolving our tools.
Your profile
- You hold a Certificate in Payroll and Social Insurance Management, a HR Manager Certificate or a Payroll HRSE Specialist Certificate;
- You have solid experience in payroll and social insurance management in Switzerland;
- You have ideally worked in an environment composed of several entities or subsidiaries, with varied populations and issues;
- You master processes related to Swiss social insurances (AVS, LPP, LAA, APG, family allowances);
- You are comfortable with withholding tax issues and work permit challenges;
- You have excellent command of payroll tools and HRIS;
- Experience in Compensation & Benefits is a real asset;
- You are recognised for your rigour, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines;
- You are comfortable with numbers and know how to analyse, check and explain data;
- You appreciate cross-functional work and collaborate effectively with HR, accounting and tax teams;
- You are discreet and have a strong sense of confidentiality.
