a Technical Director / Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

A full member of the Management Committee (Codir), the technical director drives the technological vision and leads the development as well as the industrialisation of the company’s service offerings. As a unifying leader, visionary and source of proposals, you participate in designing efficient and profitable offers, aligned with tomorrow’s technologies and clients’ business needs. You lead, structure and motivate the engineering teams (Network & Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Solutions) with the aim of achieving operational excellence and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.

Governance & contribution to the Management Committee :

• Source of proposals and business development: Be the engine of innovation within the management: identify new growth levers, internal transformation, automation and profitability.

• High-level representation: Carry Meanquest’s technological credibility with strategic clients (C-Level, CIO, CISO) and develop strategic alliances with key partners (manufacturers, publishers, hyperscalers).

• Strategic orientation: Participate in defining and implementing Meanquest’s strategy.

• Economic management & performance: Oversee the technical P&L, utilisation rate (TACE), profitability of fixed-price projects, skills allocation as well as certification management.
  
   
   

Key responsibilities :

• Development & industrialisation of offers

   

  • Catalogue design: Create, structure and evolve service offerings (fixed-price contracts, integration, managed services, audits, service centres, managed services).

  • Support and commercial development: Produce the technical materials necessary for marketing the offers (offer sheets, arguments, battle cards, proposal templates) and support the upskilling of sales teams.

  • Competitive differentiation: Position Meanquest with innovative, industrialised and scalable offers against the competition.

• Innovation & technologies of tomorrow

   

  • Active technological watch: Identify and anticipate major trends (AI applied to infrastructures / AIOps, hybrid & sovereign Cloud, advanced automation, Edge Computing, next-generation Zero Trust architectures).

  • Lab & POCs: Oversee the execution of internal Proof of Concept (POC) to test, validate and incubate breakthrough technological components before commercialisation.

  • Technological vision and anticipation: Define Meanquest’s technological directions by anticipating market evolutions and evaluating innovations likely to strengthen the relevance, competitiveness and value of the offers proposed to clients.

• Leadership, cohesion & management

   

  • Network & security team: WAN/LAN architectures, SD-WAN, enterprise Wi-Fi, next-gen firewalls, access security (ZTNA, NAC), vulnerability audits and compliance.

  • Infrastructure team: On-premise systems, virtualisation, hyperconvergence, SAN/NAS storage, backup, DRP/BCP, operational maintenance (MCO) and managed services.

  • Cloud solutions team: Migrations & public/hybrid Cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and FinOps.

  • Cohesion & stimulation: Unite the three teams around a common culture of sharing, technical pride and self-improvement; foster an atmosphere conducive to inter-team collaboration.

  • Talent management: Lead recruitment, internal career paths, annual objective reviews and publisher approval/certification programmes.

• Pre-sales, presentations & delivery

   

  • Challenger & advisor: Be a source of proposals during complex pre-sales phases, challenge clients’ master plans and design high value-added target architectures.

  • Client presentations: Carry Meanquest’s technical credibility and lead decisive presentations to clients’ management committees and CIOs.

Profile sought :

• Education: Higher education in computer science, telecommunications, networks or related field, ideally at Master’s level or equivalent.

• Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in IT, with a proven track record in an IT services company or integrator, including at least 5 years of team management experience.

• Technical expertise: Proven transversal vision of system and storage infrastructures, enterprise networks and cybersecurity.

• Managerial qualities & leadership: Natural ability to unite, inspire and develop employees; strong taste for team cohesion and collective enhancement.

• Mindset: Proactive person, source of proposals, solution-oriented, combining operational pragmatism and long-term strategic vision.

• Communication & influence: Excellent interpersonal skills, listening abilities and power of persuasion with high-level interlocutors (executives, CIOs, CISOs).

• Market knowledge: Very good knowledge of the Swiss market, especially IT services and its ecosystem.

• Languages: French essential; fluent professional English.

• Mobility : driving licence.
