Senior ICT Workplace Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
A modern workplace only functions as well as the architecture behind it. This is exactly what you design as a Senior System Engineer: Modern Workplace, connecting client, mobile, and cloud into a coherent platform. At the centre is Microsoft 365 (M365) with Microsoft Intune as the core of endpoint management. You make technical decisions with foresight and bring new approaches to operational maturity.
Responsibilities:
You further develop the endpoint management strategy and define configuration profiles, compliance policies, and security baselines for Windows and mobile devices.
You design zero-touch provisioning with Windows Autopilot as well as standardised processes for onboarding, offboarding, licences, and permissions.
Furthermore, you automate packaging, deployment, and administrative processes with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
You plan patch and release strategies for Windows clients and manage their controlled rollout.
Additionally, you conduct root cause analyses for complex incidents and derive sustainable improvements.
You also drive migrations and rollouts forward, evaluate new endpoint and security technologies, and test them in proofs of concept.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in modern workplace engineering form your foundation, ideally in demanding client and mobile environments.
You have in-depth knowledge of Intune, from device enrolment through MDM and MAM to endpoint security.
You confidently use update rings, feature updates, and Windows Update for Business as well as automated software distribution.
You also have solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 and experience in administering SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
You write clean code in PowerShell, and API-based automations via Graph are a clear plus for you.
Moreover, you think in terms of the connections between identity and security, approach problems persistently and solution-oriented, and communicate fluently in German as well as effortlessly in English.
