Job Description
As a socio-educational worker within the Croisée prison, you actively contribute to supporting detainees in their reintegration journey, while embodying our values: Loyalty, Solidarity, Credibility.
You participate in the development of the identity of a dynamic institution and work within a multidisciplinary team. You ensure a structured and secure living environment for detainees, safeguarding their physical, moral and emotional integrity.
Responsibilities
- Meet, support and listen to detainees by providing means that promote their personal and cultural development.
- Encourage the acquisition of skills, both practical and interpersonal, to facilitate their social and/or professional reintegration.
- Support detainees in reflecting on their life path and future prospects, while working to strengthen their self-esteem and prevent recidivism.
- Actively collaborate with internal and external professionals from various fields in the follow-up of detainees.
- Lead and organise socio-educational activities, both individual and collective.

Qualifications
- Holder of a HES-SO Bachelor in social work, a diploma as an ES educator or a university degree in social sciences.
- Additional training in health, addictions, migration or criminology is a definite asset.
- Proven experience in a socio-educational environment, with significant support for adults facing complex life situations.
- Great open-mindedness, excellent communication skills and emotional control enabling management of tense situations and oppositional attitudes, while maintaining listening and the necessary distance for the mission.
- Strong experience in conflict management.
- Good command of French and common IT tools.
- Knowledge of foreign languages is an asset.
Our employment conditions require you to be Swiss or hold a C permit, free from bankruptcy (an extract from the Debt Collection Office must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean. There is a right to consult the criminal record under the Federal Law on the Criminal Record by the hiring authority for this position.
