Responsibilities:
- Placing orders, monitoring and expediting orders, confirmations and rescheduling.
- Requesting information from suppliers.
- Creating and issuing forecasts to suppliers, if required.
- Checking and verifying technical specifications as a basis for material planning or obtaining quotations in cooperation with the technical organisation.
- Maintaining master data in SAP R/3 MM.
- Executing workflow tasks in SAP R/3 MM.
- Working proactively to enable cross-departmental and organisational collaboration with suppliers.
- Negotiating and executing contracts for strategic purchasing.
- Monitoring and reporting supplier performance (i.e. delivery reliability, lead time and price).
- Supporting project purchasing in procuring components for service projects while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial or technical basic training and further education in purchasing
- Several years of professional experience in industrial purchasing
- MS Office and SAP knowledge
- Fluent German and English skills
- High technical affinity
