Equine Professional

To strengthen our team within a private animal park located in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a

Equine Professional 80% - 100%

The equine professional takes care of the equine stock and farm animals. They feed, perform daily care, and maintain the animals' immediate environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the life cycle of the animals
• Clean and maintain living areas
• Calculate, prepare, adjust and distribute rations
• Provide necessary daily care to the animals
• Ensure medical follow-up according to veterinary or animal care manager prescriptions
• Propose necessary improvements for the welfare of the stock
• Define and implement enrichments
• Respect hygiene rules and specific conditions essential to the animals' lives
• Ensure stock and supply management

Profile:

• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) Equine Professional, AFP horse keeper or Equigarde
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Organisation and rigour in task execution
• Energy and responsiveness
• Team spirit and good communication
• Experience with donkeys is an asset
