Field of activity:
Design and manufacture of industrial machines for heavy equipment in the naval sector.
Development, realisation and manufacture of special machines integrating robotics, automation and welding processes.
What you develop:
Integration into a multidisciplinary working group composed of welding and robotics specialists.
Understanding the operation of industrial welding machines developed by APCO Technologies, and providing a critical eye on the operational part.
Taking charge of the operational part of manual, mechanised and robotic welding operations from receipt of sheets to completion of welds.
Execution and development of welding procedures written by welding engineers as part of our various developments.
Execution of qualification coupons for our robotic welding processes under the supervision of welding engineers.
Commissioning of the welding part of our machines in Aigle, participation in final tests with the client.
Occasionally, interface with clients and intercontinental travel to be expected for recommissioning machines after reassembly at the client and user training.
What you bring:
You have 7 years of experience as a welder / welding specialist (IWS) on thick steel plates in heavy industry
You have excellent mastery of processes 135 (MAG with solid wire) and 138 (MAG with metal powder cored wires) in all transfer modes (short-circuit, spray, pulsed).
You can demonstrate welding skills in position with processes 135/138 (at least PA / PC / PH) both with and without backing.
Knowledge of submerged arc welding, flux cored wire and/or TIG processes would be an asset.
You master related boilermaking techniques such as flame oxy-cutting and arc gouging.
An open mind and willingness to use new technologies to improve welding, including robots (training to come for the successful candidate)
Experience in industrial robot environments (welding and cutting) would be an asset.
Good adaptability, priority management, respect for deadlines and solution seeking.
Collaboration and teamwork.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is an important asset.
