Landscape Horticulturists

Committed to quality public service, the City of La Chaux-de-Fonds is looking for several:

Your mission / Within the green sector, you participate in the maintenance, enhancement, and development of the urban green heritage of the City of La Chaux-de-Fonds. You work in parks and public spaces according to the principles of differentiated management, favouring biodiversity and adaptation to climate challenges. Your tasks mainly involve planting, lawn care, setting up seasonal flower beds, and routine maintenance of green spaces: pruning, weeding, mowing, and plant care. As needed, you occasionally support other teams of the Public Spaces Service. You also contribute to the winter snow clearance on-call service, which involves being on standby and residing near La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Your profile / Personal skills / Holder of a federal certificate of competence (CFC) as a landscape horticulturist, you ideally have several years of experience and good knowledge of plants, landscape maintenance, and public green spaces. Autonomous, organised, and conscientious, you enjoy teamwork, demonstrate practical sense, and know how to support auxiliary, temporary, or trainee staff. You hold a category B driving licence. A BE licence as well as M1, M2, or M3 machine operator licences are additional assets.
