What to expect

In the agile, multidisciplinary Value Proposition environment in Bern, you will develop software solutions for our insurance products using modern technologies. The ambition of the Value Proposition teams: close to the customers, a common language between business and IT, as well as an architecture and methodology that are continuously developed. The teams are responsible for modernising insurance products for private individuals and SMEs. You will design, develop, test and operate applications throughout the entire lifecycle (DevOps) and work closely with business experts, stakeholders of the agile organisation, and other IT teams.

Your impact with us

Within the SAFe framework, you will develop complex business applications and continuously enhance them. You will take an active role in implementing business features, from offer creation to handling business cases, and act as the central contact person for the teams and other stakeholders on technical and IT-specific questions, such as feasibility, dependencies and requirements.

In close collaboration with platform teams and quality engineers, you will ensure smooth integration and stable operation of your solutions.

By participating in code reviews, you contribute to the continuous improvement of code quality, architecture and development processes. Additionally, you will take turns being responsible for requests and incidents, ensuring the reliable operation of the applications.

Your profile

• Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Solid knowledge in agile software development with Javascript/Typescript and Angular
• Experience with automated tests (e.g. Jest); knowledge of test-driven development is a plus
• Confident handling of development-supporting tools such as IntelliJ, Git, GitLab and CI pipelines
• Experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure) and DevOps tools is an advantage
• Implementation-oriented, communicative and customer-focused personality
• Curiosity and enjoyment of complex issues
• Fluent German skills; English skills are an advantage
