In the heart of western Lausanne, the City of Chavannes-près-Renens, home to nearly 12,000 inhabitants, is experiencing a period of accelerated development and growth. To strengthen the registry service, the Municipality is seeking:
A Communications Officer at 60-80%
Your main missions and tasks:
- Communication strategy
Participate in the implementation of communication plans, in collaboration with the Municipality and municipal services, under the supervision of the municipal secretary
Propose and define a communication policy and themes to strengthen the image of the Municipality, according to the priorities of the legislature
- Media monitoring
Ensure, in collaboration with the delegate for economic promotion, media monitoring of the Municipality and prepare statements, responses, and arguments supporting the municipal position where appropriate
Ensure the visibility of municipal actions
- Municipal journal and institutional documents
Lead the editorial committee of the municipal journal
Contribute, in coordination with the media technician, to the writing of the municipal journal and the main public documents of the Municipality
- Consistency of documents and image
Assist members of the executive and department heads in drafting strategic documents and organising events and public occasions involving the Municipality’s image
Ensure compliance with the graphic guidelines across all media, in coordination with the media technician
- Budget
Monitor the budget allocated to communication
Your profile:
- Federal diploma in public relations or postgraduate training in institutional communication at a Swiss University of Applied Sciences (CAS, DAS or MAS) required
- Knowledge and good command of social networks, video production and other important media
- 5 years of post-training experience in institutional communication required
- Good knowledge of the functioning of a public administration
- Excellent command of common IT tools required
- Fluent spoken and written French as well as knowledge of German and English required
- Autonomy, initiative, creativity, courtesy and discretion, flexibility
- Availability for meetings outside office hours including weekends, in case of emergencies
