Azure Cloud Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you actively shape modern Azure cloud environments and professionally implement demanding infrastructure and platform solutions. You are responsible for the design, implementation, and further development of Azure architectures, ensuring stable, secure, and scalable operations. Additionally, you take on the automation and standardisation of recurring tasks to continuously increase efficiency and quality. You analyse complex system landscapes, identify optimisation potentials, and implement appropriate technical measures in practice. You work closely with internal stakeholders and contribute your expertise to holistically accompany cloud projects and bring them to a successful conclusion.
Responsibilities:
- You are responsible as Product Owner for the entire Microsoft Cloud environment of the company.
- In this role, you lead the appropriate subprojects depending on the project or engage as a specialised expert in engineering initiatives.
- You apply your expert knowledge in M365, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure (including subscriptions, management groups, policies, IAM, RBAC, conditional access), Microsoft Teams, and Exchange Online in a targeted manner.
- As an Azure Cloud Systems Engineer, you modernise the application landscape and carry out migrations to the cloud, including maintenance of IaaS components such as virtual servers, networks, and AVD workstations.
- You use modern workplace technologies such as Intune and Autopilot as well as automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell, IaC) to operate and optimise environments efficiently.
- In this role, you monitor IT systems across locations in 2nd and 3rd level support as a single point of contact and coordinate collaboration with suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Completed IT training and several years of experience in cloud or system engineering
- Sound knowledge of modern cloud technologies, ideally in the Microsoft environment
- Confident handling of products such as M365, MS Teams, Exchange Online, MS Fabric, Intune, and Autopilot
- Ideally, you have relevant certifications in the mentioned Microsoft technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Security & Compliance, and preferably also Cisco Meraki is a plus
- Very good German skills at C1 level, as the company language is German
