Project Manager Building and Civil Engineering (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Building and Civil Engineering for diverse public infrastructure and construction projects. You will take on the client-side project management in the areas of building construction, civil engineering, road construction, traffic, sewerage and drinking water supply and accompany projects from definition to completion. You will be responsible for costs, deadlines and quality, conduct procurement and tendering procedures, and coordinate external planners, companies, authorities as well as internal specialist departments. The position combines technical project management with public procurement and municipal infrastructure planning.

Responsibilities:

• Definition, review and management of building, civil and infrastructure projects across the relevant project phases

• Client-side project management and control from project definition and planning to realisation and handover

• Support of projects in the areas of road construction, utility construction, sewerage, drinking water supply and public buildings

• Responsibility for cost, schedule and quality control as well as ongoing monitoring of project progress

• Preparation, obtaining and review of quotes, tenders and award documents according to public procurement regulations

• Coordination and management of engineering offices, architects, specialist planners, contractors and other project partners

• Technical support for internal operational units on questions related to civil engineering, road infrastructure, groundwater and drainage

• Preparation of decision bases, project applications, reports and technical statements for authorities and administration

• Implementation and technical support of authority decisions and political resolutions

• Assumption of the central information and coordination function between administration, authorities, planners and executing companies

• Support of construction meetings, acceptance and project handovers as well as control of agreed services

Qualifications:

• Basic training as draftsman EFZ specialising in civil engineering or architecture or comparable construction-technical training

• Further education as certified technician HF construction planning civil engineering or degree as civil engineer FH

• Several years of professional experience in construction or project management in building and/or civil engineering

• Expertise in road construction, utility construction, sewerage and municipal infrastructure is an advantage

• Experience in cost, schedule and quality management as well as tendering and awarding

• Knowledge of public procurement and municipal or official project procedures is an advantage

• Very good German language skills for reports, project applications, tenders and official correspondence
