The Fribourg Detention Facility brings together the penitentiary structures of the canton of Fribourg. It has the status of a public law entity and possesses legal personality. It is administratively attached to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport, under the high supervision of the State Council. The Facility ensures the custody, accommodation, care and treatment of detainees entrusted to it and participates in achieving the objectives assigned to the execution of custodial sentences and measures.

- Manage telephone traffic and alarms
- Control the entry and exit of detainees as well as visitors
- Provide guard service and maintain constant surveillance of detainees, taking into account various detention regimes
- Manage and organise internal and external movements
- Contribute to the resocialisation of detainees by having a positive influence on them
- Enforce discipline, order and security among detainees
- Federal VET diploma or equivalent training, with several years of professional experience
- Possession of the federal detention officer certificate is an advantage
- Good physical and mental condition, as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Sense of human relations, communication and conflict management
- Willingness to intervene outside working hours in cases of force majeure
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
- Clean debt enforcement and criminal record extracts
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
