Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader for construction management and project leadership of complex building projects with an investment volume of around CHF 5 to 80 million. You will manage projects across all relevant project phases and bear responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, organisation as well as contract and procurement management. As the central interface to the client and specialist planners, you will lead planning processes, coordinate resources and further develop project teams professionally. Additionally, you will contribute to the digitalisation of construction management and the strategic development of the business area.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsible management of complex building projects with a project volume of approx. CHF 5 to 80 million across the relevant planning and realisation phases
Leadership and coordination of the project organisation as well as ensuring structured processes according to the relevant SIA service phases
Responsibility for cost, schedule, quality and organisational management including ongoing project controlling and risk management
Management of contract, tendering and procurement management as well as monitoring the contractual services of project partners
Leading planning, project and client meetings and ensuring structured decision-making and action item management
Central professional interface between clients, architects, specialist planners, contractors and internal specialists
Creation and monitoring of project schedules, cost forecasts and project reporting as well as early initiation of appropriate control measures
Forward-looking resource and capacity planning for ongoing and future projects within the area of responsibility
Professional and personnel leadership and development of project staff as well as support in training and knowledge building
Use and further development of digital construction management, project control and collaboration solutions
Cross-departmental collaboration with architecture, civil engineering, building services engineering and other disciplines
Participation in the strategic development and growth planning of construction management as well as optimisation of internal standards and processes
Qualifications:
Technical construction education as draftsperson EFZ specialising in architecture, architect FH/ETH, civil engineer FH/ETH or comparable qualification
Further training as certified construction manager, certified technician HF or MAS Construction Management advantageous
At least 5 years of professional experience in construction or project management in building construction, preferably in the Swiss market
Sound knowledge in project control, cost and schedule management, tendering, awarding and contract management
Experience with complex large-scale projects and clients as well as initial leadership experience advantageous
Very good knowledge of SIA processes and Swiss construction practice as well as confident handling of digital construction management and project control systems
Very good German skills; good English and/or French skills advantageous
