Senior Cloud Engineer - Platform, Automation & AI Infrastructure 80 - 100% (a)

To strengthen our cloud engineering team, we are looking for a new team member as a Senior Cloud Engineer - Kubernetes, Automation & AI Infrastructure 80-100%. In this role, you are part of our cloud engineering team and responsible for the development, operation, and further advancement of modern platforms in the areas of Kubernetes, Linux, automation, and AI infrastructure. You work on internal standards as well as customer solutions and contribute your experience specifically to projects, architecture, and operations. The focus is on platform engineering in the MSP environment: standardised, scalable, and sustainably operable solutions instead of individual special solutions or manual individual cases. You help to build platforms and services so that they can be operated, standardised, and further developed across multiple customers.

• ?Development, operation, and further advancement of modern platform environments in the MSP environment
• Development and standardisation of platforms for containers, Linux workloads, and AI applications
• Planning, development, and operation of Kubernetes platforms in hybrid environments, on-premises and in Azure
• Development and operation of standardised platform services for multiple customers and environments
• Collaboration on platforms based on Nutanix, VMware, Linux, and Azure
• Development of technical standards, blueprints, and operating models for our customers and internal platforms
• Design and implementation of AI infrastructures and GPU-based workloads
• Automation of infrastructure and operational processes with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and scripting
• Development and maintenance of deployments, patch processes, monitoring, logging, and observability
• Analysis and resolution of complex faults and performance issues in the platform environment
• Ensuring that new platforms and services are smoothly transitioned into operation
• Collaboration on multi-tenant, security, and standardisation concepts in MSP operations
• Technical support of projects from conception to handover to operations
• Support and coaching of other engineers within the team
• Close cooperation with project teams, operations, architecture, and customers

This is how you succeed:

• Several years of experience as a platform engineer, system engineer, or in a comparable role
• Experience in building and operating platforms in the MSP or enterprise environment as well as Kubernetes platforms

• Very good Linux knowledge and experience with container and platform technologies
• Experience with several of the following topics:
  • Nutanix
  • VMware
  • Azure
  • Linux
  • Docker and containers
  • GitOps, Terraform or Ansible
  • Monitoring and logging
  • Automation and scripting
  • Windows Server

• Experience in planning, standardising, and operating technical platforms across multiple customers or environments
• Interest or experience in AI infrastructure, GPU workloads, or modern platform architectures
• You work independently, structured, and with a view of the big picture
• You question existing solutions and enjoy building things cleanly, standardised, and sustainably maintainable
• You actively contribute knowledge to the team and support other engineers with more complex topics
• Very good communication skills in German and English

• Experience with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) or comparable platforms

• Experience with multi-tenant architectures and standardised platform services
• Experience with GPU infrastructures, NVIDIA, AI/ML workloads, or hybrid platforms
