About the job

As part of a new position creation, we are looking for a:

Legal Counsel

You have solid experience in commercial contract law, particularly in distribution, commercial leases, construction, labour law, as well as competition law and data protection. The position is based at the Manufacture in Geneva with regular travel to Biel and will report to the Legal Manager of Harry Winston.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Legal advice and support

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts within the daily activities of Harry Winston.
• Provide legal advice and training to the various divisions and affiliated companies of Harry Winston.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company’s objectives.

Compliance and representation

• Ensure that the Company’s activities comply with applicable local laws and regulations.
• Represent the Company’s interests with local authorities.

International support and legal monitoring

• Support the Legal Manager of Harry Winston regarding contracts and projects involving the United States and the United Kingdom.
• Conduct legal research and monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.
  

YOUR PROFILE:

• Master’s degree in law (MLaw) or equivalent legal diploma with practice of Swiss law.
• Additional training or professional experience in an Anglo-Saxon legal environment is an asset.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer, ideally in the luxury/retail sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good writing and oral communication skills in English, German and French.
• Ability to work independently with a sense of priorities.
• Excellent ability to thrive in demanding environments, handle sustained workloads and demonstrate a high level of responsiveness.
• Proficiency in legal research and contract negotiation.
• Rigor, precision and great attention to detail.
• Sense of confidentiality and great discretion.
• Team spirit and good interpersonal skills.
