Tasks

• Practical insights into the retail business focusing on customers, assortments, product presentation, and promotions.
• Understanding of key interface areas such as supply chain management, logistics, creditors, and customer service.
• Building solid expertise in category management – from assortment and pricing to promotions, key figures, and market analyses.
• Collaboration in various category areas to develop a broad understanding of different market and assortment logics.
• Taking on initial tasks, reflecting on your own insights in transfer assignments, and preparing for an entry-level role in category management.

Requirements

• Completed studies (university or university of applied sciences) or alternatively initial professional experience in purchasing, product management, category management, or a comparable analytical-commercial function
• Fluent German and English skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage
• IT affinity as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; SAP knowledge is an advantage
• High commitment as well as confident appearance, persuasiveness, and assertiveness
• Solution-oriented and open personality with a strong willingness to learn
