Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional as a Senior Draftsperson EFZ Architecture for the technical planning and development of demanding building projects in an established Swiss architectural firm. You will take a central role in execution planning, working drawings, and constructive detail development, producing precise construction plans using ArchiCAD and BIM-based planning methods. The focus is on the compliant implementation of building constructions, technical plan review, and quality assurance, as well as supporting project and construction management with tenders and submissions. The position offers diverse construction projects with a high degree of professional responsibility and the opportunity to actively shape the quality and further development of digital planning processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Execution and working planning: Independent creation and processing of execution plans, working drawings, detail drawings, and technical construction documents for demanding building projects.

  • ArchiCAD and 3D modelling: Development and maintenance of digital building models, 3D CAD plans, and BIM models using ArchiCAD.

  • Constructive detail planning: Development of façade details, building connections, waterproofing, component structures, and constructive execution details.

  • BIM and digital planning: Application and further development of BIM planning methods, model structures, plan standards, and digital planning processes.

  • Plan review and quality assurance: Systematic checking of plan documents, technical bases, measurements, and execution details for accuracy and completeness.

  • Standards and building regulations: Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, VKF fire protection regulations, cantonal building laws, and technical guidelines.

  • Specialist planner coordination: Integration and coordination of structural planning, building services, fire protection, and other specialist planner documents into architectural planning.

  • Tendering and submission: Supporting project and construction management in preparing specifications, tender plans, quantity extracts, and submission documents.

  • Materialisation and building construction: Technical implementation of material concepts, component structures, constructive solutions, and economical execution variants.

  • Project and construction management support: Handling plan changes, technical clarifications, contractor inquiries, and execution adjustments.

  • Documentation and project completion: Preparation and compilation of revision plans, final documentation, technical reports, and building records.


Qualifications:

  • Completed training as a Draftsperson EFZ specialising in architecture, formerly building draughtsperson, or further training as a certified technician HF in construction planning.

  • At least 15 years of professional experience in a Swiss architectural office, especially in execution, working, and detail planning.

  • Very good ArchiCAD skills as well as solid experience in 3D planning and BIM-based building modelling.

  • In-depth expertise in building construction, façade details, materialisation, and technical execution details.

  • Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building regulations, fire protection requirements, and construction technical guidelines.

  • Experience in plan review, specialist planner coordination, tendering, and technical support of project and construction management.

  • Good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical documentation, planning coordination, and project documents.
