Security Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you analyse and optimise the security architecture of IT systems, are responsible for their secure operation, and contribute significantly to further development in the DevSecOps environment. You take on monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents, conduct threat hunting and vulnerability analyses, and continuously develop the security toolchain as well as established security processes. Additionally, you plan and conduct security assessments, audits, and risk analyses, ensure compliance with relevant requirements such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, or CRA, and keep an eye on key metrics. You advise various internal stakeholders on implementing technical and organisational security measures, develop policies, and conduct training and awareness measures. As an experienced professional in IT security operations, you bring your expertise in security processes, SOC concepts, and securing complex IT, OT, and IoT landscapes to bear.
Responsibilities:
- You analyse and optimise the security architecture of our products and accompany their secure further development in the DevSecOps environment.
- In this role, you are responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents and conduct threat hunting as well as vulnerability analyses.
- You operate and continuously develop the security toolchain as well as existing security processes such as SOC, playbooks, and vulnerability management.
- You plan and conduct security assessments, audits, and risk analyses, ensure compliance with requirements, and monitor relevant key figures.
- In this role, you advise and support internal stakeholders in implementing security measures, develop policies, and conduct training and awareness measures.
Qualifications:
- You have a completed degree as an IT specialist (FH/HF) with a focus on cyber security or a comparable qualification or relevant practical experience.
- You have 2-3 years of experience in IT security or security operations and have already worked with incident response and security monitoring.
- You are familiar with relevant requirements and standards such as NIS2, CRA, BSI standards, and the BSI IT baseline protection.
- You have solid experience advising on technical and organisational security measures.
- You convince with practical know-how in security processes, SOC concepts, and securing OT and IoT systems.
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, enable you to conduct conversations and meetings confidently in English.
