Your tasks

• Management of the Integration & Case Management Department with around 50 employees and interns in personnel, organisational, professional and financial matters;
• Active participation in the further development of the asylum and refugee system in the Canton of Zug, especially in specialist topics, processes and knowledge management;
• Service-oriented and economically sound management of the department within the framework of legal requirements;
• Responsibility for personal assistance (social counselling) and legally compliant implementation of economic social assistance together with team leaders and specialists;
• Promotion of the professional integration of refugees and development of innovative approaches to implementing effective concepts;
• Planning, control and monitoring of smooth business operations as well as ensuring quality;
• Implementation and active shaping of the Cantonal Integration Programme (KIP) in the asylum and refugee sector;
• Responsibility for promoting social integration including volunteer coordination;
• Maintaining a partnership-based exchange and cooperation within the office and with external partners, both in the Canton of Zug and nationally.

Your profile

• University degree in social work, social sciences, law or comparable qualification;
• Extensive leadership experience across several hierarchical levels;
• Several years of experience in the asylum and refugee sector;
• Knowledge of statutory social assistance (SKOS guidelines);
• Foreign language skills are an advantage;
• Experience in public administration, project management skills and knowledge in promoting and implementing innovative solutions;
• Strong planning and organisational skills as well as experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and networking.

As Head of Integration & Case Management, you hold a key position in the asylum and refugee sector in the Canton of Zug. You shape and design the development of integration strategies and the implementation of statutory social assistance. You actively contribute to linguistic, professional and social integration. The role is based in the Social Services Asylum (SDA) department of the Cantonal Social Office, which is responsible for and shapes the entire asylum and refugee system in the Canton of Zug.
