Team Leader Unemployment Compensation 80 - 100 %

For the cantonal unemployment fund (ALK) we are looking for a committed, solution-oriented and conscientious leader with a passion for numbers and dynamism in everyday life. The ALK is responsible for reviewing applications and paying out insurance benefits (unemployment, insolvency, short-time work and bad weather compensation).

• You lead and develop a team of specialists in the unemployment compensation benefits area – both professionally and personally.
• You ensure open, clear communication and implement the set goals together with your team.
• You promote the professional and personal development of your employees through modern, supportive leadership.
• You actively participate in projects and cross-team tasks and support the management of the ALK.
• You independently process applications for unemployment compensation.
• You advise and support our clients and work closely with employers and other social insurance institutions (RAV, IV, SUVA, AHV, KV).

• You have completed a commercial apprenticeship or a comparable qualification. You have several years of professional experience, preferably in social or private insurance. Ideally, you have further training in social insurance or are willing to undertake such training.
• You preferably have leadership experience or have completed further training in leadership.
• You possess good analytical skills, work precisely and independently.
• You convince with your communication skills and an authentic, empathetic personality.
• You enjoy and understand dealing with people and are service-oriented.
• You show initiative, act flexibly and resiliently in a dynamic environment and support your team with vigour and positive drive.
