Psychotherapist in Advanced Training 50-90%, City of Zurich
ZurichYour Tasks
- You are responsible for the psychotherapeutic treatment and psychosocial support of adult refugees with multiple psychosocial burdens and mental illnesses.
- You conceptualise psychotherapeutic interventions with cultural sensitivity and implement them professionally.
- You undertake psychodiagnostic assessment (including transcultural anamnesis).
- You develop and implement low-threshold counselling services tailored to the specific needs of this target group.
- You work closely with the interdisciplinary case team (social workers, caregivers) on site within supported housing and with external specialist agencies, doctors, clinics, and authorities.
- For new admissions, you contribute your professional expertise to the admission process. You participate in developing individual development goals for psychological stabilisation and support the planning of appropriate follow-up solutions.
- You advise internal and external professionals, lead case discussions in the interdisciplinary team, and impart knowledge in the field of mental health.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology (recognition by PsyKo for foreign diplomas)
- Advanced psychotherapeutic training
- Clinical training year already completed
- Interest in and experience with psychoanalytic and transcultural therapy approaches
- Affinity for networked interdisciplinary collaboration
- Resilient, flexible, team-oriented, and self-organised personality
- Ability for networked interdisciplinary collaboration

Your Salary
Your gross salary for a 100% workload is expected to be between 100,000 and 125,000 Swiss francs per year.
The exact salary depends on your education and professional experience. During the selection process, we will determine your salary according to our salary guidelines. Applicants who do not yet have the required knowledge or experience may be classified below the salary range in individual cases. Additionally, AOZ pays allowances for work at night and on Sundays. Further salary development depends on your performance and AOZ’s financial possibilities.
